From The Possible Release of his son’s Murderers to Zionism on Campus: Professor Judea Pearl

In February 2002, American-Israeli journalist Daniel Pearl was brutally murdered by Islamic terrorists while pursuing a story in Pakistan as the South Asia Bureau Chief of The Wall Street Journal. A proud Jew, Daniel’s final words were, “My father is Jewish, my mother is Jewish, I am Jewish.” On this week’s episode of StandWithUs TV Live, Daniel’s father, Prof. Judea Pearl will join us in conversation to speak about Daniel’s legacy, as well as Prof. Pearl’s writings on Jewish identity, the history of Zionism and Israel on campus. Pearl is an internationally acclaimed Israeli-American professor of Computer Science at UCLA, the director of UCLA’s Cognitive Systems Laboratory, and a Turing Award recipient. He and his wife Ruth are the co-founders of the Daniel Pearl Foundation aimed at continuing the legacy of their son.
